The cold snap has affected everyone around the UK this week, with Southampton seeing temperatures drop below 0C like most other areas.
As a result, frost and ice have stuck around throughout this week, with snow staying put where it has fallen in other parts of the country.
However, there is some good news for people in the area from the weekend and into next week as temperatures are finally set to show some improvement.
Here's what to expect in Southampton from next week, according to the Met Office forecast.

What temperatures will Southampton get to next week?
On the Met Office page for Southampton forecasts it says that the city could see a temperature as high as 12C next week.
This would occur on Monday, December 19 and would be the peak of that week if proven correct.
Tuesday, December 20 is predicted to see a peak of 11C, whilst Wednesday, December 21 should see a peak of 10C.
The forecast at the time of writing goes up to Thursday, December 22 which is also predicted to see a peak of 11C.
This will undoubtedly be far more pleasant than what has been experienced in the last seven days or so.
Those in Southampton should start to see improvement on Saturday, December 17, as a peak of 6C should be hit, which will then go up to 9C on Sunday, December 18.
Sunday and Monday are predicted to see a lot of rain throughout which will then calm down by Tuesday.
