Christmas is fast approaching and undoubtedly some will still have some last-minute present shopping to compete in Southampton before the big day.

Therefore it might be useful to know when the main shops in the area are going to close on Christmas Eve so you can make the time for it if you need.

From shopping centres such as Westquay and the Marlands to individual shops like Boots and Primark on Above Bar Street there are a few options to keep an eye out for.

Here are the Christmas Eve opening hours for the main shopping areas in Southampton.

When will shops close on Christmas Eve in Southampton?

Westquay shopping centre

Westquay has a huge number of shops to visit, making it a prime spot to go for present shopping.

If you're still hunting around for things on Christmas Eve then you'll have between 9am and 5pm to visit.

It will then next open on Boxing Day, between 9am and 6pm.

The Marlands

Much like Westquay, the Marlands shopping centre will also have slightly limited opening hours on Christmas Eve.

It will be open from 9am to 5pm, and will then next open from 10am to 6pm on Boxing Day.

Individual shops

Outside of the shopping centres there will be a number of individual shops that people might want to visit ahead of Christmas Day.

For example, Boots on Above Bar Street will be open from 8am to 6pm on Christmas Eve, whilst the Primark store on the same street will open from 9am to 5pm on the same day.

Matalan on Harbour Parade will be open from 8am to 4pm, whilst Currys in the same area will have opening hours from 10am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, TK Maxx, which is also in Above Bar Street, will open from 8am to 6pm.
