A FATHER-of-three has told of his frustration after his family has been left without water for days.
Andy Skinner lives in Chandler's Ford with his partner and three children, and has been left without running water since Wednesday.
It comes after 24,000 households and businesses have been left with no water or very low water pressure due to issues with Southern Water.
The 35-year-old, who works as an education officer for Southampton City Council, said he received a text late morning on Wednesday saying they might have low pressure.
But by lunch time, the family was left with no water at all.
"The first night we went without," he explained.
"The next day we went to the Winchester South Park and Ride water collection.
"You're allowed to take six two-litre bottles per person and we are a family of five.
"You don't realise how much water you use.
"We can't flush the toilets, can't wash clothes, you struggle to wash up and cook.
"With a baby, you're struggling to bathe them."
Andy said he was having to bathe his eight-month-old son Freddie in the sink, but struggled due to the temperature.
"It's been very frustrating," he said.
"You can't do the things you would normally do. It's much more difficult than you think it would be."
Andy, his partner, and his three children, aged eight months, four, and seven, are visiting family in Southampton over Christmas.
Andy is hoping that they will not also be affected by the water loss.
Southern Water on Friday announced it is expecting water to be returned to normal later today.
