CHRISTMAS Day was the most wonderful time of the year for one couple after a surprise proposal.
Runner Damian Taylor got down on one knee to propose to his girlfriend Faye Timby after the pair completed the festive Southampton parkrun.
After Faye finished the 5k race, a video posted by Southampton parkrun shows Damian approaching her.
He can be heard saying “I love you so much” before pulling out a ring as Faye, visibly shocked, reels back.
Crowds of people can be heard cheering in the background before Faye replies “yes” to the important question and seals the deal with a kiss.
Posting on Facebook, Southampton parkrun said: “Many congratulations go to Damian Taylor and Faye Timby - you have made us all very emotional.
