A STOLEN vehicle was recovered just over two hours after it was taken.

The car, a silver Vauxhall, was found yesterday in Whiteley by Hampshire Roads Policing Unit.

The discovery was made just two hours and 15 minutes after it was first reported stolen.

Three people have now been arrested and were in custody yesterday.

Drug wipes were also conducted and other items of stolen property were also seized.

A police spokesperson said online that these items were found just before they could be used at Whiteley shopping centre.

In a post on Twitter, the Roads Policing Unit said: "2 hours 15 mins after it was reported stolen, 3 people were in custody and the vehicle safely with us.

"2 people provided positive drug wipes and some stolen property recovered. Items used to steal were seized just before they could be used @shopwhiteley."
