A CYCLIST has died after being rushed to Southampton after being hit by a car.
The crash, which involved a grey BMW X1 driven by a 78-year-old man and an 84-year-old cyclist took place at the junction of The Green and Redhill Road, Rowland’s Castle.
Members of the public and emergency services, including an air ambulance, came to the aid of the cyclist.
The Rowland’s Castle man was then rushed to Southampton General Hospital.
Police have confirmed that he died of his injuries on Tuesday.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The BMW driver, also from Rowland’s Castle, sustained minor injuries.
As a result, police have renewed their calls for any witnesses to come forward.
Police Sergeant Spencer Wragg of the Roads Policing Unit said: "I would like to thank those members of the public who provided immediate assistance at the scene.
"There were a lot of people in the area at the time and I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident and those who may have relevant dash cam, doorbell or CCTV footage to contact us."
