TRIBUTES have poured in for a "wonderful lady" who died in a Southampton car park.

Emergency services were called to a car park behind Bitterne Precinct after a woman suffered a medical episode on Monday.

Police and paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service were called to Angel Crescent at 11.28am.

The woman, in her 30s, died at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

Tributes have poured in following the news, with many paying their respects on social media.

One reader, Gemm Louisee, said: "Rest peacefully.

"One of my childhood besties. Absolutely devastated.

"You’ll always be remembered."

Lucy Smirk added: "Such a pleasure to have met you, a wonderful lady gone so soon."

Another resident, Kayla Bond, said she witnessed the incident unfold.

She said: "How heartbreaking and so young, thoughts go out to her family and friends and credit to the emergency services for trying to save her."

A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We were called out 11.28am on Monday 2 January by our colleagues at South Central Ambulance Service following reports of a medical episode at Angel Crescent car park in Bitterne.

"Despite the best efforts of emergency services, a woman in her 30s was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"Her next of kin have been informed and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
