A CHINESE takeaway has closed its doors for the final time.
Happy 2000 located in Cobden Avenue, Bitterne Park, closed down on Monday night.
The Echo understands the reason behind the closure is due to the owner taking retirement.

The establishment had been awarded a five out of five rating from the Foods Standards Agency, meaning the business was found to have 'very good' hygiene standards.
Many will be sad to see the takeaway shut its door as it earned favourable online reviews over the years.
One online reviewer wrote: "Nice fresh food, good price, lovely people."
While another posted: "Food is lovely and freshly cooked, would highly reccomend."
Customers will now be forced to look elsewhere for their takeaway Chinese meal.
Nearby ones include Sam King's Chef, Asia Wok and Great Wall.
