IT'S a new year and a new look for this Eastleigh beauty salon.
No.1 Beauty Studio in Eastleigh is relaunching following a refurbishment and rebrand thanks to its new owner.
Lorna Carter-Blake has taken over from the previous owner, who ran and worked in the salon for the last 15 years and is now retiring from the beauty industry.

Lorna is introducing aesthetics as well as mini pamper parties, which will allow a group of children to enjoy their own spa experience, complete with face masks and mini robes.
Lorna said: "It’s such a wonderful little salon with an extremely loyal client-base who come because they know they’re going to get a high-quality, tailored treatment. It’s the opposite to a busy salon atmosphere – it feels like more of a spa – and most of the time the clients have the whole place to themselves, so it feels very personal, and we’re keen to keep that.
"Hopefully these changes will strengthen the business and will not only attract new customers but make the regular and loyal customers fall even more in love with it."
The salon has expanded to three treatment rooms and a reception area with a double manicure station, with new and updated décor.
It will stock a range of eco-friendly and sustainable products, including plastic-free gifts and vegan, and palm oil and paraben-free beauty products.
Lorna has hired a team of experienced health and beauty therapists.
Manager Beth Griffiths added: "In the time I’ve been here, I can already tell that these changes are going to be so positive to the business, the clients are so lovely and I’m proud to be working here."
The salon, which is set in the precinct in Pirelli Way, enjoyed an official re-launch party at the weekend, to allow people to take a look around.
The relaunch event, attended by the mayor of Eastleigh Cllr Adam Manning, was in collaboration with yoga and wellness studio, Pura Vida, which sits opposite the salon and is celebrating one year of trading.
Lorna hopes this collaboration will help to regenerate the shopping precinct, which houses several other businesses and charitable organisations.
