A new bakery is set to open in Southampton, taking over the former Cotton premises.
A sign on the door of the now closed independent bakery in Bitterne Park is advertising the opening of Plested Bakehouse next month.
The original Cotton bakery closed down in June last year after owner Graham Cotton announced his intention to retire for health reasons.
The closure of his shop, which had been part of the community for 49 years, marked the end of an era for Bitterne Park residents.

Plested Bakehouse is looking for bakers and retail assistants.
However, details of the opening have not yet been confirmed.
