A SCHEME to reward deserving members of the community with a free haircut has been extended into 2023.
Haringtons Helps, from top Bedford Place hair salon Haringtons honours charity workers, community groups, and anyone in need of a boost.
Residents are encouraged to nominate a deserving friend or neighbour.

The nominee will then be contacted by Haringtons and can make a booking for a cut or colour in any free slot.
The scheme, which launched early last year, has already benefitted a number of local heroes.
A Ukrainian refugee and her sponsor were treated to time in the salon, as well as a poorly dad in need of a boost. A nurse at Naomi House & Jacksplace hospices in Sutton Scotney, a team of unpaid carers from Southampton and a frazzled mum in need of a little luck were also nominated and enjoyed some pamper time.
Staff at the salon are inviting Daily Echo readers to spread a little joy and nominate their community hero.
Do you know someone who goes the extra mile and deserves to be noticed?
Whether it’s a thank you to the leader of a community group doing vital work, some recognition of a volunteer that’s gone the extra mile for a charity, a little pick me up haircut for someone who has lost their job or a confidence boost for someone who has come out of the other side of chemotherapy, Haringtons Helps can treat them to a free pampering session.
