A MAN has been rushed to hospital after a hit and run in Southampton.
Emergency services rushed to Vanguard Road just after midnight after a pedestrian was struck by a car.
Police say that a red car had driven over a man in the road. The car did not stop at the scene.
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old man, was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
The severity of the injuries is not confirmed at this time.
Police closed the road including the junction of Mousehole Lane.
Anyone with information, CCTV, or dashcam footage that may assist the police investigation is asked to call 101 with reference 44230028388.
