Searching for houses in Southampton, like much of the UK, can be quite a tricky task, especially with house prices almost continually on the rise.
You might wonder what some of the cheapest properties you can buy in the area are, excluding options such as shared ownership or retirement property.
If you're looking for a property on the lower end of the price scale in Southampton, then Zoopla may have an option for you.
A two-bed terraced house in Canterbury Avenue is currently on sale for £180,000 and is described as being "ideal" for a project.
Take a look inside the property
On its Zoopla page, it says: "Austin & Wyatt are delighted to offer for sale this two/three bedroom terraced house in the residential area of Sholing in Southampton."
They also add that the property is in need of "modernisation" which is why it would be "ideal" for a project.
On the ground floor, you can find a small hallway, a conservatory, a small fitted kitchen and a utility room.
Going upstairs there is a main bedroom along with what is technically two bedrooms with a door opening up into one another.
Aside from that, there is a shower room, and the property has the benefit of double glazing and warm air heating.
Externally there is a front garden mainly laid to lawn, with a pathway leading to the front door.
There is also a rear garden which is laid mainly to paving, with a gate out to an alleyway.
