A HISTORIC pub in Southampton city centre has closed - but no details have been revealed as to why.
The Juniper Berry in Castle Square has confirmed it is currently closed.
A spokesperson from the pub told the Daily Echo that it is "closed for now" but no further details have been provided.
The Juniper Berry stands on the site of the former home of author Jane Austen and is a popular historic pub in the city.

In 2019, Micky Penfold took over the running of the pub following 13 years of management from Mick McCarthy.
