IT'S a view that makes you 'fall in love with Southampton'.
Waterside bar Quayside at Centenary Quay in Woolston enjoys uninterrupted views across the water to Southampton Harbour Hotel and Ocean Village and owner Mike Lawrence believes it's the very best view the city has to offer.
The venue specialises in tapas, freshly-made cocktails and pizzas and also boasts an extensive wine list and a selection of draught beers.

Mike, who opened Quayside with his business partner Paul Nicholson last March, told the Daily Echo: "It's made me fall back in love with Southampton. I think it's the best view in the city.
"I don't think we make the most of our waterfront and we were keen to recreate the feel of [much-missed former Ocean Village bar] Los Marinos.
"It's lovely to see the boats and buildings in Ocean Village in silhouette. You can see Itchen Bridge and up the river to the stadium. On a bright day, you can see the spire of St Michael's Church and depending on the angle you can sometimes even see the civic centre clock tower.
"On a good day, there's uninterrupted sunshine from 2pm, so it's the perfect place for sundowners as you look across to Ocean Village. We can't wait for the summer!"
Current favourites on the tapas menu, which changes seasonally, are calamari, bubble bobble shrimp, patatas bravas and padron peppers.
Sunday roasts have recently been launched and are going down a storm with regulars and newcomers alike.
Quayside, which is available for private hire and can seat up to 150 using the indoor and outdoor space, was officially opened last July by (now lord) mayor of Southampton Jacqui Rayment.
It has since attracted customers from across the South and hosted all manner of functions from birthdays to baby showers.
Southampton city councillor Warwick Payne, a former journalist at the Daily Echo's sister paper Hampshire Chronicle, will launch his latest book there this weekend, live music events will get underway in March and former Saints striker Nicky Banger will host a charity bash for his Knights Foundation in April.
