A PLAY area is set to close as improvement works take place to increase its capacity.
Next Monday work will start around the play area and paddling pool at Fleming Park in Eastleigh.
Railings will be removed from around the older children's play area and placed around the paddling pool, a move that the council says will save money by re-using materials.
Most of the existing railing panels around the paddling pool are also expected to be lifted and will be re-erected further out from the pool.

A council spokesperson said: "This will increase the area around the pool for more families to use and allow space for trees to be planted which will provide shade for visitors in the summer."
They added: "Unfortunately the work means the play area will be closed for brief periods from the start date whilst these improvements are made and will continue for a few weeks. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."
