Police returned to the scene of an alleged murder two days after a man died in a flat.
Two police cars were parked outside the block of flats in Thornhill on Monday morning as the investigation into the man’s death continued.
Police tape could be seen outside the entrance of residents’ front doors at the Warburton Road flats.
Residents remain shocked at what happened in their neighbourhood on Saturday.
Paula Hewes, 61, said: "It was a shock really to think this would happen in Thornhill. It’s going downhill.
"It does concern me and it’s put me off going out for a walk in the evenings, especially in the winter.
"I don’t think I’d want to walk down the road on my own now.
"I am shocked to think somebody up the road has died and that it happened on my doorstep.
"You don’t expect it in a place like this."
Concerns surrounding safety in the area, particularly at night, were also raised by another resident.
