AN UNINSURED drink driver has been banned from the roads and slapped with a hefty fine.
Mark Hiller was caught drink driving on Woodmill Lane in Southampton in a Fiat Punto on January 19.
The 39-year-old was found to have 52 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, above the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He was also uninsured.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of drink driving and one charge of driving without insurance.
Hiller, of Kiln Lane, Romsey, was disqualified from driving for 36 months and fined £450.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £180 and court costs of £85.
