The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow on Wednesday, March 8 which covers an area that includes Southampton.
This warning is in place for the whole of Wednesday and also covers Eastleigh, Romsey, Winchester and parts of the New Forest.
The Met Office said between 1cm and 2cm could be seen across the southwest of England.
A spokesperson said: “Spells of snow reaching parts of southwest England late on Tuesday evening will then spread north during the early hours of Wednesday before clearing away eastwards during Wednesday daytime.”
Additionally, there is a small chance of travel delays on roads with some stranded vehicles and passengers, along with delayed or cancelled rail and air travel.
Ahead of this, the BBC has shared its Southampton weather forecast for the day to see when there might be a chance of snow.
