Residents of a Southampton tower block said they are sad and shocked following the death of a man yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Sturminster House shortly after 4.10pm.

A man suffered "a medical episode" and died at the scene.

A police cordon was set up outside the high-rise flats on Redbridge Hill. It was removed at around 6.40pm.

One resident who wishes to remain anonymous said: "We are just in shock, it's just really sad that this happened."

Another one said: "I just saw the ambulance and then the police arrived, it's a shock to all the people living here."
