A burglar tried to snatch alcohol from a popular city-centre bar.
Police were spotted in Above Bar Street after a man entered the cellar Revolution La Cuba and tried to make off with alcohol at around 5.30pm on Sunday.
Mark Glen Hosford has since been charged with burglary.
The 48-year-old of Turlin Road, Poole, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on April 13.
