The Frog and Frigate
Tucked away from the main hustle and bustle of the city centre, this pub sits opposite the site of Southampton’s old docks.
It has a long and colourful history but is now loved for its own line of real ales and live music.

The Witch’s Brew
The Witch’s Brew is a micro pub offering ciders, cask ales, wines, and soft drinks.
One reader described it as the ‘best pub in town.’
The Saints Pub
An iconic Southampton institution, it’s no surprise this pub made the list.
The pub was named after Southampton Football Club in the 1960s and is ‘a true part of the community.’
Punters can enjoy a range of draught beers, house doubles, and shots.

A second West End pub to make the list, this was another popular choice amongst Echo readers.
Located in the Chartwell Green area of West End, this brewery boasts regular quizzes, live music, and much more.
5 Rivers Pub
This sports bar received many shoutouts under our post – at one point five in a row!
The Bevois Valley Road pub specialises in showing live sport and has been cited as ‘the best sports bar in town’ on TripAdvisor.
