A MAN assaulted a woman following an argument about pregnancy and paternity.
Daniel Grzywaczewski has been hauled before the courts following a string of offences in January this year.
The 24-year-old harassed his victim between January 23 and 30 by repeatedly making unwanted phone calls and turning up at her address.
On January 30, he assaulted the woman following an argument about pregnancy and the paternity of a child.
The court heard how the assault was "unprovoked and totally unacceptable".
He then attacked a female police investigator at Southampton Central Police Station on the same day.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of assault by beating, one charge of harassment without violence, and one charge of common assault on an emergency worker.
Grzywaczewski, of Neva Road, Southampton, was jailed for 12 weeks.
He was handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim or visiting her address until March 2028.
He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154 and court costs of £620.
