A SOUTHAMPTON man at the centre of a murder investigation was still alive when police arrived at his flat, an inquest heard.
Mark Noke, 64, died on February 25 and since then police have arrested several people.
The inquest heard that emergency services were called to his home at 1am.
When police arrived he was conscious and breathing and was able to identify himself, the inquest in Winchester heard.
But Mr Noke died at 2.05am from a stab wound to the right side of his chest.
Mr Noke lived at a property in Warburton Road, Thornhill.

Area coroner Jason Pegg adjourned the inquest until March 18 2024.
His family paid tribute to him saying he was a "kind and loving member of our family who also touched the lives of so many others with his warmth, kindness and generosity.
"He was a devoted, loving father who was committed to caring for his son. Mark’s passing has left a void that will be deeply felt."
