FROM egg hunts to assault courses, and the start of the cricketing season, there's plenty of fun to be had in Hampshire this Easter weekend.

Here's our pick of five of the best ways to keep all the family entertained.

At Mottisfont...

Daily Echo:

National Trust Easter egg hunts have arrived in Hampshire.  Set in some of the county’s most beautiful gardens, there's acres of space for an activity-filled family jaunt during the school holidays.

There are ten fun challenges on each trail, including spring-themed crafts at Mottisfont.

It’s a great opportunity to get kids immersed in nature too, as spring bursts into life around them. Look out for blossom and bees in Mottisfont’s cherry orchard.

Each National Trust Easter trail ends with a chocolate egg, or vegan and free from egg, made here in the UK using cocoa that’s responsibly sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.

National Trust Easter egg trails cost £3 per child, plus normal National Trust admission.

At Longdown Activity Farm...

Daily Echo:

What better place to celebrate Easter than at Longdown Activity Farm where you will be surrounded by chicks and Easter bunnies?

The popular Longdown Golden Egg Hunt is back with 19 golden eggs to find every day, plus one very special platinum egg! There are no clues, and they are very hard to find.

There will be a prize for those who are fortunate enough to find a golden egg, and an eggstra special prize awarded to the person who finds the platinum egg!

The Great Big Golden Egg Hunt will run over the Easter weekend.

Don't miss the new all-inclusive outdoor play area including a wheelchair swing.

At Bucklers Hard...

Daily Echo:

A special anniversary visit by Lord Ivar Mountbatten has kickstarted the Easter weekend when kids are being offered the chance to visit Buckler’s Hard Museum for free, until Easter Monday.

Visitors can explore Buckler’s Hard for free and enjoy a riverside stroll in the picturesque village where time flows differently. Step inside the original Shipwright’s Cottage and charming St Mary’s Chapel, with a smugglers’ cellar beside the altar, then pass preserved cottages which line the gently sloping street on its way to the water’s edge.

Discover more about the maritime history of the village in Buckler’s Hard Museum where fascinating exhibits include Nelson’s original baby clothes, then listen in on conversations between villagers of the past and follow residents’ stories in the exhibition of village life.

From Easter, enjoy the first River Cruises of the season along Beaulieu River’s meandering saltmarshes.

At the Ageas Bowl...

Daily Echo:

County Championship cricket has returned to the Ageas Bowl for the 2023 season.

Hampshire are welcoming Nottinghamshire over the Easter weekend.

Liam Dawson and his side will be looking to go one better than last season, where they finished third in Division One – and won a league-high of nine games in the process.

At Ninja Warrior Southampton...

Daily Echo:

Make your Easter the hoppiest yet with fun for all the family at Ninja Warrior UK's adventure park at Thornhill.

Choose your challenge and climb, balance, swing and hop over a range of incredible obstacles inspired by ITV’s hit programme Ninja Warrior UK, including the famous Warped Wall!

From little spring ninja chicks, to whole families, it’s great egg-ercise!

This weekend, look out for Easter-related fun and games, competitions, offers or meet and greets with the Easter Bunny!
