Searching for houses in Southampton, like much of the UK, can be quite a tricky task, especially with house prices almost continually on the rise.
You might wonder what some of the cheapest properties you can buy in the area are, excluding options such as shared ownership or retirement property.
If you're looking for a property on the lower end of the price scale in Southampton, then Zoopla may have an option for you.
A one-bed semi-detached house on Maple Road is currently on sale for £160,000 and is described as being in a "highly requested location".
Take a look inside the property
On its Zoopla page, it says: "Jackson Bailey are delighted to market for sale this one-bedroom property located in the highly desirable area of Bitterne."
Upon entering the property you'll come into a hallway which leads into the living room space.
Like the rest of the house, it is currently unfurnished, with just carpets laid down at the moment.
From the living room, you can access the kitchen which has some wooden worktop space and cupboards as well as a sink.
If you head upstairs you will find a landing space which leads to the bedroom and a refitted shower room.
Externally the property has a small courtyard garden with some wooden fencing.
The Zoopla page adds: "Located close to Southampton this convenient area offers fantastic transport links with motorway and mainline train station access.
"A range of amenities, catchment to Bitterne CE School and superstore shopping facilities are available at the West Quay shopping centre as well as restaurant dining.
"An internal viewing is recommended to appreciate the location and accommodation on offer."
