A Southampton man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a "suspected stabbing" in London Road.
The 47-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article.
It comes after a man was found injured earlier this evening.
Police say the incident was isolated.

A spokesperson said: "Officers are conducting enquiries in London Road today following an isolated incident where a man was injured in a suspected stabbing.
"A 47-year-old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm, possession of a bladed article and attempted murder.
"There is not believed to be any wider risk to the community at this stage."
The road was closed in both directions at around 6pm. It has since reopened.
Several police cars were spotted at the scene.
