Drivers are experiencing long delays on the A35 Redbridge Causeway heading eastbound.
The congestion is causing backups all the way to Rushington Roundabout.
The traffic has been caused by ongoing roadworks in the area.
These are adding to the already heavy traffic.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible or seek alternate routes until the situation is resolved.
