A suspected drug driver has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in West End earlier this morning.
The woman, who is in her 40s, was arrested on suspicion of drug driving after a Vauxhall Corsa crashed into a telegraph pole on Botley Road at 7.20am.
Her injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Botley Road is closed between Telegraph Road and St James Road and is expected to remain closed for some time.
Police, Highways officers and Open Reach workers are at the scene.
The 14 Bluestar service is being diverted up West End Road and stops between Hill Dene and and Tollbar Way will not be served.
