FROM the zoo to the farm, and from running to curry, plus circus high jinx, there's plenty of family fun to be had in Hampshire this weekend.
Here's our pick of five of the best ways to keep the kids entertained over the next two days.
At Marwell...
The ultimate zoo upgrade has returned to Marwell with luxury secret garden bell tents now available for day hire.
Nestled in the heart of the zoo, surrounded by the peace and tranquillity of our own secret garden, our bell tents are the perfect base for an action-packed day with loved ones.
Each tent comes fully furnished and widely spaced out to ensure privacy, peace and quite within our secluded walled garden.
They offer the perfect place to put your feet up and relax between visiting all of the wonderful animals, playgrounds and eateries Marwell has to offer.
Enjoy exclusive early entry to the zoo before arriving at your own, private, fully furnished safari tent designed with comfort in mind.
On arrival, you’ll be greeted by your host, who will show you to your tent where your brunch hamper will be waiting for you to dive in.
After grabbing a bite to eat you have the whole zoo to explore with as many pit-stops along the way as you desire. So, if your little people need a nap, your legs are tired or you need some shade and a cold drink, you're covered.
To add to a truly magical day out, you’ll have a key to the secret garden so you can come and go as you please throughout the day.
Garden games are included to occupy little ones while you rest, and there’s free Wi-Fi so you can check the football scores, plan your day on the Marwell Zoo app and post the perfect selfie.
In North Baddesley...
Visitors flock to the village day each May, helping to boost cash for charities in the community.
Up to 4,000 regularly attend the event, which takes place on the recreation ground on Saturday.
Arena displays include a show band, street dance and falconry.
The programme of attractions is also set to include the popular fun dog show, a penalty shoot out, bouncy castle fun and a bake off contest.
At Southampton City Farm...
It's a small farm with a big heart in the middle of Southampton and it's hosting an open day on Saturday between 11am and 3pm.
Come and meet Penny Pig, Daffodil the goat and the other lovely animals and find out what the farm is all about.
Explore the garden, have a picnic out on the benches and make the most of the sunshine in this inner city oasis.
At Broadlands...
The Barratt Homes Relay Marathon returns for the ninth year on Sunday.
Organised by the Rotary Club of Romsey Test, the marathon is open to the whole community and raises funds and awareness for local charities and other good causes.
Teams of up to ten runners will collectively run 26miles and 385yards.
Each runner will run two circuits of 1.3 miles to complete their leg of the course before handing the baton to their teammate.
Every penny the teams raise goes to charities and good causes of their choice, with the whole entry fee supporting Rotary's work.
At MAST Mayflower Studios...
Direct from the Blackpool Tower Circus and the Sooty Show Live, The High Jinx show is back on tour throughout 2023 with a fast paced fun Family show filled with amazing tricks, grand illusions & crazy circus thrills performed by Michael Jordan and the Fantastic High Jinx dancers.
This show is guaranteed to knock your socks off and leave you wanting more!
