TRAVELLERS who set up camp on a Southampton playing field have been ordered to leave.
Active Nation, the charity which leases Mayfield Park from the city council, has served a formal direction to the group.
It comes after around 23 vehicles, including caravans and cars, arrived at the site in Woolston.

Police and the council were alerted to the encampment and requested the travellers to leave on Monday.
A council spokesperson said today: "Active Nation have served the formal direction to leave to the occupants of the unauthorised encampment at Mayfield Park in Weston Lane Southampton.
"Please continue to report any anti-social behaviour and/or criminality to the police on 101 or their web-based reporting facility."
