It’s been a big week for Paultons Park!
Not only was it the best-value family theme park in the UK, but it also celebrated its 40th anniversary.
For decades youngsters have enjoyed the wail-inducing thrill of riding roller coasters and log flumes at Paultons Park, Ower.

The park, originally known as Paulton’s Park and Bird Gardens, first opened on May 17, 1983.
In the early days of the park, no more than four staff members were required. The park consisted only of an adventure playground, museum, birds and animals.
Things have changed dramatically over the years and the park now packs more than 70 rides and attractions. Five of those on the 140-acre plot are roller coasters and six of them water rides.
Peppa Pig World proved to be a huge hit since opening in 2011, attracting young visitors from far and wide.
The pictures in the gallery above were taken at the park through the years.
