The opening of a popular paddling pool has been delayed after being vandalised.
The Hedge End paddling pool will not open to visitors this month as planned.
The announcement was made by Hedge End Town Council after questions were asked about the pool at St Johns Recreation Ground.

In an online post, the council said: “Due to vandalism and essential repairs the paddling pool opening has been delayed.
“Our staff are now carrying out the filling, maintenance, and water testing before it can open.
“We realise how disappointing this is and are working to ensure the safety of the pool users.
“We will let you know when it reopens. Thank you for your patience.”
The news comes after the fence at the paddling pool was badly damaged at the start of the month. This incident was reported to the police and the fence was repaired.
Once the paddling pool opens, it will be available for use from 10.30am to 5pm every day.
