A RESTAURANT in Ocean Village has received a new five-star food hygiene rating.
Tapas bar, Mango Thai Tapas on Canute Road was given the maximum score after an assessment on May 18, according to the Food Standard Agency’s website.
A spokesperson for Mango Thai Tapas told the Daily Echo: “We’re thrilled to have received a five-star food hygiene rating – which is up from our previous four-star rating.
“We work extremely hard to ensure that we work to and maintain the highest standards in our kitchens, so we’re immensely proud to have been awarded the highest possible hygiene rating.”
They added: “Our customers can relax and feel confident in the knowledge that our food not only tastes good but is being prepared and served safely.”
The new hygiene rating means that of Southampton’s 405 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 333 have five-star ratings.
