A Southampton nursery where children are “exceptionally happy” has been given the highest rating by Ofsted.
Pixies Day Nursery on Portsmouth Road, Woolston has been rated ‘outstanding’ for the second time following an inspection on April 27.
It was initially given the highest rating in August 2017.
Area manager, Kerri Weeks, said the school is “ecstatic” that staff efforts have been recognised.
The report highlighted the close relationship between children and staff.
It reads: "Children are exceptionally happy in this nursery. They are warmly welcomed by enthusiastic staff.
"They say goodbye to their parents and independently put their belongings away. Children have exceptionally strong bonds with staff."

It adds: "They smile with excitement when they see their key person."
The report also said children learn "exceptional" speech and language skills, while older children have "excellent" conversations.
"[The children] tell the inspector about the risk assessments with astounding clarity.
"They identify possible hazards, such as broken glass and toys. Children learn to identify risks to keep themselves safe."
The manager and "passionate staff" were also praised for their work in providing a highly ambitious curriculum.
The report says: "The manager leads by example in her aim to provide high-quality education for all children. The nursery's curriculum is highly ambitious and well-sequenced. It effortlessly reflects children's individual needs and interests.
"Passionate staff understand the curriculum focus and what children need to learn. They ensure children develop the skills they need for their next stage of development, including school.
"Staff and leaders meticulously monitor children's progress from the outset."
Inspectors noticed that children in the setting behave kindly towards one another which showed "exceptional social skills".
"Children behave exceptionally well. They show kindness and consideration towards their friends.
"For example, children kindly offer to share toys with each other as they play in the pretend kitchen. Children excitedly greet their friends as they arrive at the nursery."

Ms Weeks said: "We are ecstatic that our team's dedication to the children’s care and development has been recognised to be outstanding.
"Our nursery team work to the highest standards to provide the best start in life for the young children in our care and go above and beyond to ensure their training and knowledge in the childcare field is as up to date as it can be."
She added: "I cannot put into words how very proud I am of all our team and children who through their everyday practice showcased how amazing they are and of course thank you for the continued support of our parents who entrust us with their children."
