Two people were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following two separate stabbings over the weekend.
A man described the moment he found two people “covered in blood” outside his front door on Friday night.
The pair, a man and a woman in their 20s, were allegedly attacked inside a house in Stafford Road at around 10pm.
They were taken to hospital alongside a man in his 50s who suffered a stab wound to his stomach.
On Sunday morning, police launched a separate attempted murder investigation after a man was allegedly stabbed in the chest in a flat in Canute Road, Ocean Village.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested.

Stafford Road, Shirley
Police were called out just before 10pm on Friday to reports of a number of serious assaults inside a property.
A man in his 50s suffered a stab wound to his stomach, a man in his 20s suffered serious cuts to his hand and a woman in her 20s suffered a cut to her face.
All three were taken to hospital where they remain in a stable condition.
Officers arrested a 50-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police stayed in the area throughout Saturday as officers carried out inquiries.
They were seen walking to and from a property carrying evidence bags.

Residents spoke of their shock after hearing the news.
Piotr Spalik, 37, said: “I have lived here for five or six years and this was the first time that something like this has happened.
“The only shocking thing that happened was when there were so many police cars outside the road.
“I was not expecting that, if three people were stabbed then that’s very bad, that is shocking.”
Another resident who asked not to be named said: “We have only lived here for six months, the thing about this place is that it’s a very quiet neighbourhood.
“In the time I have been here nothing like this ever happened before.
“It’s quite scary when you hear of these things happening so near to where you live.”
Canute Road, Ocean Village
At 6am on Sunday, officers were called to an address on Canute Road after a 35-year-old man was found with a stab injury to his chest.
He was rushed to hospital, however at the time police said his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Shortly after arriving at the scene, officers arrested a 37-year-old woman nearby on suspicion of attempted murder.
She remains in custody.
