A Wetherspoon pub in Southampton is to close later this month.
The Admiral Sir Lucius Curtis on Canute's Pavilion will close its doors for the last time on June 18.
A notice on the entrance of the pub in Ocean Village informs customers of the upcoming closure.
It comes after the venue was put up for sale last September alongside 31 other Wetherspoon pubs across the country.
At the time the pub giant said the sale was "a commercial decision".
It was met with sadness by customers who hailed the pub "the best Spoons in town".
The popular boozer is named after the Admiral of the Fleet Sir Lucius Curtis, a senior officer in the Royal Navy in the 19th century.
The nearest Wetherspoon will be The Standing Order on the High Street.
