One victim, in her 20s, has left been left fearing she will never feel safe again after Johnson Kubelabo - a complete stranger - repeatedly followed her to work.
She told Southampton Crown Court how she feared she would be raped when he struck in the early hours.
Kubelabo, 26, of Brunswick Place, targeted at least four other women - and police found more than 400 video files on his computer showing him following them.

Reading her victim impact statement in court, the woman in her 20s described her immense feeling of fear when Kubelabo followed her near her home.
She said: “I imagined him pushing me into my flat and following me in. I imagined him raping me.
“After he left, I rushed to the bathroom and locked the door.
“I found myself calming down but trying to downplay it when texting my friend and my boyfriend.
“I was desperately trying to cope with what happened.
“I was scared every single day. The whole thing was surreal.
“I felt there was no escape. I could no longer walk my normal route to work without thinking about him. I feel very anxious.
“I don’t know if I will ever feel as safe or as carefree. I am furious someone has had such an impact on my life.”

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, added: “Anxiety wasn’t something I had to worry about in quite a while.
“When the following started, I began to feel hyper-aware when walking to work.
“It was an eerie feeling having someone behind me. I had a feeling I shouldn’t make a deal out of it in case I was wrong about his intentions, but I knew deep down there was something very wrong going on. I was being avoidant.
“It was normal to see him and feel him behind me when I went to work. It’s not like the town centre is a weird place for someone to go at that time of day.
“I feel very insecure generally and I couldn’t imagine someone would want to follow me.
“I have never classified myself as a victim before, but now it is making me cry.”
Kubelabo pleaded guilty on April 28 to one count of stalking, causing serious alarm or distress.
His sentencing will be concluded at Southampton Crown Court on Friday at 10am.
