In a heroic act of bravery, a mum rushed to the aid of a teenager after he was attacked in Eastleigh.
The 37-year-old said she was in her front garden when two girls shouted at her for help and told her that a boy had been attacked in Grantham Green Park at around 2pm yesterday.
The Parnell Road resident wasted no time and ran to see if she could help out in any way.

Speaking to the Echo, the woman said: "I was out in my front garden when these two young girls came up to me shouting for help.
"I ran straight over and saw a group of children surround a boy who was lying on the ground.
"He was bleeding from his back, neck, and leg."

Wasting no time, the mother-of-seven told everyone to move back and sat down next to the 17-year-old boy.
She said: "I applied full pressure on his leg wound so that it would stop bleeding.
"After that, I shouted for my neighbour, who is a paramedic, for help.
"I screamed for her to come over a couple of times.
"She and one other person who lives at the end of the road came over with big bandages and other stuff.
"We were with the boy until the ambulance arrived."
The boy was rushed to hospital by land and remains in hospital. Police have launched a witness appeal for more information.
The air ambulance also landed in the park as part of the emergency services' response but was not needed in the end.
The mum of seven said she is shocked after the incident happened right on her doorstep.
She added: "I feel physically sick.
"My kids will never come over to this park again because there is no protection for my children."
The woman claimed there was 'no form of CCTV or good lighting' and that Eastleigh Borough Council had not put lamp posts in the park.
She added: "We have said so many times that we need CCTV over here because of the drug dealing, the fighting, the assault, all this kind of stuff.
"And they haven't listened to us.
"They don't care, and now look what's happened. Somebody's been attacked.
"I shouldn't be having to go over there and put my hands on a poor 17-year-old child's leg to stop him from bleeding.
"We need protection over here. Not just for me and my kids, but for everyone."
Residents saw a heavy police presence in the area and a cordon was put in place near a children's play park in Grantham Green and another in an alleyway between Shelly Road and Tennyson Road.
Eastleigh Borough Council said: “There is an ongoing police investigation to establish exactly what happened and the circumstances of this incident. Until this has been completed we will be unable to comment.”
