A WOMAN targeted by an "obsessive and persistent" stalker has described the traumatic impact his behaviour has had on her life.
Johnson Kubelabo followed his victim for several weeks, despite repeatedly altering the time she left for work in a bid to evade her tormentor, a court heard.
On one occasion she hid in her bathroom after he turned up at her home, claiming he was looking for a friend.
The 26-year-old of Brunswick Place was jailed for two years at Southampton Crown Court on Friday, having previously pleaded guilty to stalking causing serious alarm and distress.
Kubelabo asked for four offences of stalking without fear of violence to be taken into consideration after it emerged he had followed other women.
Police suspect the defendant also targeted victims who have not come forward.

In a statement issued after he was sentenced, police said Kubelabo began stalking a woman in her 20s during her journey to work on March 6.
"This fixated, obsessive pattern of behaviour continued over a number of weeks with the victim becoming increasingly hyper-vigilant that someone may be following her.
"She even altered the times she would leave her address – but still would encounter Kubelabo following her.
"The behaviour escalated when he followed her back to her home address one evening. As the victim attempted to enter her property, Kubelabo followed her into the communal area and spoke to her claiming he was trying to locate a friend's address."
In her victim personal statement she said: "I felt this had escalated and I was really scared.
"I started to worry as he now knew my route to work and my route home. I hid in my bathroom and texted my housemate and boyfriend as I was scared to be on my own.
"I don't know if I will ever feel as safe and carefree as I did before."
Jailing Kubelabo for 24 months, Judge Nicholas Rowland described him as an "organised and persistent" stalker.
He was made the subject of a ten-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and was also handed a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting his known victims.

During a previous hearing, it emerged he had filmed his victims on a mobile phone.
Det Con Alex Griffey, who led the investigation, said: "We cannot rule out that Kubelabo targeted other women, recording them without their consent or knowledge.
"I would urge anyone with concerns or suspicions to come forward."
