TWO Hampshire charities are among 150 organisations to have been awarded £1,000 donations.
Fareham-based, Sophie's Legacy and German Shepherd Rescue South in Portchester have received donations from the Benefact group.
The money has been awarded as part of the Movement for Good Awards which saw members of the public nominate causes close to their hearts.
The two charities are among 150 that have won awards with more than 11,000 charitable causes across the country receiving votes.
Sophie’s Legacy supports families admitted to hospital with their child in memory of Sophie Fairall who sadly passed away in 2021 aged 10 having been diagnosed with cancer.
German Shepherd Rescue South rescues and rehomes unwanted, abused or stray German Shepherd dogs.
Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive of Benefact Group, said: “We would like to thank every single person who took the time to nominate a good cause as part of our Movement for Good Awards.
"We know that £1,000 can make a huge difference to the incredible work that charities do and we’re looking forward to seeing how this financial boost will change lives for the better.”
