A SOUTHAMPTON youth charity has celebrated turning 30 by releasing a new video to showcase its work.

To celebrate its 30th birthday on Thursday, Southampton based, No Limits held a breakfast attended by senior representatives from organisations across Hampshire.

As part of the event, the charity premiered its new film – Four Stories – made by four young people whose lives have been changed by the charity. 

The packed Advice Centre heard from Mike Harris, CEO of Southampton City Council, the leader of the Council, Cllr Satvir Kaur and Tim Davis, Associate Director Children’s Mental Health Transformation in Hampshire.

They explained how No Limits have provided vital support over the last 30 years.

Last year the charity supported over 7,000 young people, including 1,629 through its Advice and Wellbeing Hub, 1,146 in hospital Emergency Departments and 2,119 through school drop-ins. 

They supported over 4,000 young people with emotional wellbeing, 985 with housing and 1,142 with their finances. 

Council CEO, Mike Harris, said: “We need agile, innovative, creative organisations like No Limits because young people are the future of our cities. 

"No Limits is a vital institution for individuals, neighbourhoods and our entire community – an anchor for young people in our city.”

Natalie Webb, CEO of the charity added: “30 years is a great milestone for No Limits to reach. Over this time, we’ve helped thousands upon thousands of young people, giving them life changing support. 

"Children and young people often come to us when they are at their lowest point and it’s our job to help them get to where they want to be.

"I am immensely proud of the work we do here, offering a vital service and a lifeline to so many."
