Posting on social media Southampton Cops said: "The vehicle had been recently used in criminal activity and we’d been playing cat and mouse with it for a couple of days.
"Displaying cloned plates, the true vehicle has no keeper and no insurance.
"We’ve recovered the vehicle for forensic examination of some interesting and unusual items located within.
"The villains using the car hadn’t bothered to pay insurance to use the car on the road putting road users at great financial risk in the event of a collision.
"They probably don’t have a driving licence either judging by the manner of driving witnessed over the last couple of days. If they can produce a driving licence it was likely issued by Mickey Mouse.
"At least this car won’t be used for criminal activity and road users won't be at risk from the silly driving displayed by these scoundrels. Not in this car anyway.
"Don’t forget you can report criminal activity to CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
