POLICE have dropped an investigation into two men who were arrested after a flat was destroyed by fire.
Emergency services rushed to Commercial Road on Friday, 24 March, to find a bedroom in a third-floor flat in Wyndham Court well alight.
The blaze was extinguished within 15 minutes and two people were treated for smoke inhalation by South Central Ambulance Service paramedics.

At the time, one resident of the flat, who did not wish to be named, told the Echo: “The whole place was ablaze.
“My flat is completely destroyed and I don’t know where I am going to live.”
A few days later, police confirmed they were investigating - with two men aged 40 and 42, both from Southampton, arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Both were released on bail until yesterday - June 24.
Now, a police spokesman confirmed that both men have been released, with no further action to be taken and the investigation has been closed.
