TRAVELLERS have returned to a Southampton park for the second time this month.
The group reportedly arrived at Riverside Park last night, just weeks after travellers were removed from the site.
Police have confirmed that officers visited the encampment, by Pitch and Putt, to "assess the situation".
On June 7, travellers set up an unauthorised encampment on Riverside Park.

The group was moved on from the site a few days after they arrived.
Residents believe that travellers arrived at Riverside Park again at 5pm yesterday.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: "We are aware of an unauthorised encampment at Riverside Park in Southampton.
"Officers have attended the site to assess the situation.
"We are working closely with the landowners to seek a suitable resolution."
Southampton City Council said they will be carrying out welfare checks before making any decisions.
A spokesperson told the Daily Echo: "We have been made aware of an incursion onto and setting up of an encampment at Riverside Park.
"We will be working with partners to complete statutory welfare checks prior to a decision being made as to how to proceed.
"Any reports of criminality or anti-social behaviour should be reported to the police on 101 or via the Hampshire Constabulary website.
"We will work with partners, including the police and the occupants of the encampment, to resolve this situation and reduce any impact on the community.”
