THE Princess of Wales visited Southampton on Tuesday lunchtime, as she opened a new residential community in the city.
People lined the streets for the royal arrival as the Princess of Wales opened a groundbreaking facility that supports women in the justice system and their children called Hope Street.
The project acts as a safe space that allows women to access training, employment, and links to the community as they meet the requirements of a community sentence.

Kate arrived at around 12pm in a convoy escorted by police motorbikes.
She left about an hour and 15 minutes later following a tour of the facility led by Edwina Grosvenor, the founder of charity One Small Thing.
