New planning applications have been submitted to Southampton City Council.
The applications, which are currently awaiting a decision from the council, include requests to cut down trees, extend existing buildings, and construct new houses.
One application in Highfield Lane proposes cutting down a dead cherry tree in a resident's back garden and replacing it with bushes.
The application is currently open for comments.
Meanwhile, on Winchester Mews, there is a request to reduce the height and width of a beech tree, leaving it at 18m tall and 10m wide.
The application seeks to maintain the tree's health.
At Terao on Winchester Road, there is a request to prune oak trees that overhang a property and to lift the crown of another oak tree to provide clearance for a customer's driveway.
The applicant is hoping to ensure the safety of the property and the driveway.
Other applications include requests for roof extensions, window replacements, and single-storey rear extensions in different locations across the city.
One application is for a single-storey rear extension in Pine Drive.
Another proposal involves the removal of a field maple and an ash tree on the land behind 38 University Road.
The application cites extensive squirrel damage and the presence of deadwood as reasons for the removal.
All applications - validated in the week starting June 19 - are currently open for comments from the public.
