A woman was caught stealing £60 worth of items as police crackdown on shoplifting.
Carita Blyth was arrested on suspicion of theft by officers patrolling Shirley High Street.
The 50-year-old of Millbrook Road West was charged and remanded to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court.
She pleaded guilty to six counts of theft and will appear before court on July 20 to be sentenced.
Officers also arrested a wanted man for failing to appear in court.

The patrols on June 28 form part of the force’s Operation Gatewatch.
This operation is dedicated to tackling shoplifting and anti-social behaviour in Shirley high street.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We will update continue to patrol the high street in the early mornings to target prolific offenders as part of Op Gatewatch in uniform and plain clothes.”
