A DRIVER has been fined after being caught at more than 50mph on the M27. 

Melanie Samuels, 54, was caught at 63mph on the M27 whilst behind the wheel of an Audi. 

A temporary 50mph limit was in place at the time on the stretch of road between junctions four and five. 

Samuels, of Woodmancote and Linchmere, Haslemere, pleaded guilty to one count of exceeding a temporary 50mph speed restriction.

Appearing at Aldershot Magistrates' Court for sentencing, she was fined £66 and given three penalty points. 

She must also pay a surcharge of £34 by July 10. 

The offence was committed on February 2, 2022 with Samuels being sentenced on June 12, 2023.
