A TEENAGE boy has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in the back in a Southampton neighbourhood.
Police rushed to Linacre Road in Thornhill just after 7pm last night after a 14-year-old was stabbed.
He was taken to hospital and officers have implemented stop and search powers.
The emergency powers, which were put in place at 8.40pm last night, will run until 8.40pm tonight, Monday, July 10.
It gives police the power to stop and search anyone in a designated location, without the restrictions of normal stop and search.
The powers will be in place around the majority of the Thornhill and Sholing area.
Officers will be carrying out patrols across the local area and will be able to stop and search anyone while the powers are in use.
